I drove about 100 miles yesterday all hybrid mode; 30 miles city, 70 highway and got 49MPG. On the way back I used 12.5 in EV and the remaining hybrid and got 53.3 MPG; both ways on the highway I was doing
The car is effectively on the 'approved vehicle list' for California, so DMV should not be rejecting..that's not cool they rejected yours, but yeah, worth trying again.
that happened to me too. for what it's worth, the problem with mine was that the dealership had coded in the wrong "motive power" on the DMV form showing that the car was gas as opposed to plug-in hybrid. i had to get a correction done by the dealership and send that to DMV to get the stickers..
