Can you park indoors? Keep the battery pack warm(er)? I'm surprised Honda is selling the Plug-in Accord in Maine, I thought it was just Cali and New York (which also has cold weather). Many (most?) people bought these cars to be able to use the carpool lane, not so much on all electric miles.

Late last year there were good lease deals in CA and NY. Apparently at least in the month of Oct there was a good lease deal in NY. You could come to the conclusion the Accord Plug isn't selling well in NY.

@rinthos - I'm now wiser, thank you. Sorry, I have no idea if you can add backup sensors to the Accord P-i system. I would guess the technical manual(s) would tell you if there's a connection for them to the ?NAV? unit. You might check to see if the wiring to the rear bumper is already in.

A dealer "offered" to sell us an A P-i at sticker, which I guess is a favor this month. [Honda's year-end push of vehicles was successful.] We ended up in a base Prius P-i, at 26K. Just couldn't justify the extra $14K. The Prius P-i had a price reduction after the first or second model year...

Is the Accord plug REALLY worth >$12.5K more than the Prius Plug? From the EPA stat's the Accord plug has (only) 9 cu ft more passenger volume, and 13 cu ft LESS luggage volume. All electric miles are similar (10). MPG not so different (slight advantage Prius). Both mid-size vehicles. Then...

$37.5K is invoice. This car has a lot of competition, and Honda really needs to rethink the pricing. The Prius Plug-in while a bit smaller inside, shares the Prius legendary reputation and it's cult-like following. It's hard to believe people will pay so much more for the unproven Accord...
